FOPPE was hired to provide a geotechnical investigation for site work and foundation construction, and to perform constuction materials testing during construction for the new Dayton Public Schools (DPS) Belle Haven Elementary. The new school building was planned for a site adjacent to the existing building, followed by demolition of the old school building.
FOPPE provided the field geotechnical exploration, laboratory soils analyses, and design report on time and within budget. The field investigation for a prtial Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (also performed by FOPPE) was carried out in conjunction with the geotechnical borings, saving the school district time and money.
FOPPE was also retained to provide materials testing in association with soils compaction for the overall development of site grades, foundation construction, concrete testing, subgrade testing for slabs-on-grade and pavement construction, density testing for aggregate base and asphaltic concrete pavement, and reinforcing steel inspection for concrete construction. |
