FOPPE began operations in 1989 as Foppe Thelen Group, Inc. In 1995, a name change occurred when FOPPE's employees bought out the firm's outside investors. In 1997, most of the personnel that made up the geotechnical and construction inspection groups from Rust Environment & Infrastructure's Cincinnati office joined FOPPE. This addition included purchasing the equipment for our geotechnical and material testing laboratories. Over the next five (5) years, FOPPE diversified itself into a turn-key development engineering firm. This includes the addition of full capabilities in Civil Engineering, Environmental Consulting, Land Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Testing & Inspection Services. In 2003, FOPPE purchased David E. Estes Engineering to bolster our capabilities in Land Surveying and Civil Engineering and give us a Northern Kentucky office. Today, FOPPE is the only firm in this geographical region that has complete site development engineering capabilities under one roof.

FOPPE provides our clients with a single point of contact, or senior project manager, for easy coordination of services for projects in states like Ohio and Kentucky. Land surveying, geotechnical engineering, environmental consultation, civil engineering, construction inspection, and phase I site assessments are services that your senior project manager will take care of and manage so you won't have to. Leave all that to us.

We are committed to providing you, our client, with efficient and cost effective engineering solutions, delivered with a personal level of service that results in lasting relationships.

Project Management
FOPPE’s project management is unique to our industry and was designed with feedback from our clients. Under this model, FOPPE considers each company contact we do business with to be an individual client. The FOPPE Senior Project Manager (SPM) is the point of contact for each client. The SPM has complete decision-making authority for client issues and is responsible for scope, budget, and schedules for all of their clients’ projects. The SPM will coordinate any of the civil services requested by their client. Each SPM is supported by members of the Technical Services Team. These are junior professional and technicians crossed-trained in several of our core service areas.
